Summer Lights Gala 2010

The Barren River Area Child Advocacy Center’s Board of Directors is honored to present the 3rd Annual Summer Lights Gala to benefit the Center on Saturday, September 18, 2010. 

Bob and Doris Burr have graciously opened their beautiful  historic home at 1314 Fairview Avenue to host this year’s unforgettable evening.  Several hundred local leaders, business owners and community members will enjoy an evening of cocktails, live and silent auctions, dinner and live music provided by lead singer, songwriter and entertainer Andy Childs of Sixwire, a recent finalist band on American Idol’s AMERICAN BAND and a recent feature band on CMT’s CAN YOU DUET.  (http://www.andychilds.com and http://www.sixwire.com).  Andy has also performed with Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Clint Black, Trisha Yearwood, Tanya Tucker, Charlie Daniels Band and many other top country stars.  All proceeds benefit the Barren River Area Child Advocacy Center and service provision to 400-500 victims of child sexual abuse and their non-offending family members who see care and protection at the Center every year.
